E.P.S.O.M Welcomes New Term

As we step into the 2025-2026 academic year, East Point School of Music is gearing up for an exciting new term, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to share what's in store. Returning for its second year, the school is bringing fresh energy, new faces, and a lineup of innovative courses that will inspire and challenge our students. The new term officially kicks off this October, and we can’t wait to see what the upcoming months hold. The new term brings new tutors to the forefront, some with incredible careers in the performing world such as, John Hunte (Movement Tutor), Neil Newton (Sound Tutor) and Martin Boyce (Music Theory Tutor). It also welcomes past students, now tutors, of singer, song writer and vocal life coach Kellie Cadogan.

The new term also brings an exciting array of classes that promise to push students to explore new skills, new styles, and new ways of expressing themselves. Here are just a few of the unique courses we’re offering:

  • Singing for Dancers – This course is designed for performers who want to expand their skillset by learning how to use their voices in a performance setting. Perfect for dancers who want to incorporate singing into their routines or vocalists who want to move more freely while performing, this course will help students find harmony between their body and voice.

  • Movement for Singers – A class dedicated to helping singers become more physically aware of how their bodies interact with their voices. Whether you’re working on stage presence, breathing techniques, or the physicality of vocal delivery, this course will enhance your performances and help you communicate more powerfully through your movements.

  • Live Sound Engineering for Singers – Singers often find themselves relying on sound engineers for technical support during live performances, but how much do they really understand about the process? This course is designed to give singers the technical knowledge they need to better collaborate with sound engineers, troubleshoot problems on the fly, and understand the ins and outs of live sound.

Building Confident, Well-Rounded Performers

At East Point, we believe that being a successful performer isn’t just about having a good voice or being able to play an instrument. It’s about being a confident, well-rounded individual who understands every aspect of the performance process – from the technical side to the emotional and physical.

Our goal is to create more than just professional performers; we want to empower our students to become strong, confident individuals who are not only capable of performing but also of expressing themselves fully, whether or not they pursue a career in music.

Understanding the voice, how sound works, and how the body communicates is key to building self-assurance. We’re not just teaching students how to sing or play; we’re helping them understand who they are as artists and as people. Whether they want to become professional performers or just gain a deeper connection with their craft, we want to ensure every student leaves feeling more confident in themselves, their abilities, and their future.

Looking Ahead

With a range of talented new tutors, exciting courses, and a commitment to nurturing holistic performers, we are excited to see what this new term brings. Whether you're a seasoned performer or just starting out, East Point School of Music is here to support you on your journey, helping you to grow, explore, and most importantly, find your voice.

We’re looking forward to welcoming new and returning students this October and are confident that this year will be one of the most inspiring yet. Stay tuned for more updates, and don’t forget to secure your spot in our upcoming classes!
